- Catch Story: I was fishing a swim jig with a craw trailer targeting largemouth bass. We were drifting in a pontoon over a heavily weeded flat on top of a sharp ridge very close to the public boat launch on the southern side of the lake. On my 3rd cast he smashed swim jig like a freight train. He peeled line and started going under the prop, so I had to scramble over rods in rod holders, and around seats and tackle boxes to get to the other side of the back of the pontoon. He peeled more line and fought like a champ. Crazy fun to catch and amazing to watch him swim off and live another day!
