- Catch Story: The 47" nothern was caught in 13' of water on Upper Red Lake MN out of Morts Dock. It was caught on a HT Ice Rigger Tip up holding a 42" Thorne Bros Laker rod with a quick strike rig and a 8" live sucker and a Strike Sensor alarm as we were angling inside teh wheel house for walleye. Dan was accompanied by his nephew (in picture)and dad (taking picture). Fish was fought maybe 10 minutes landed high fives all around fish was measured pictures taken (but not with Dan's Blackberry as it got dropped down a hole in all the excitment)after a brief discussion of getting a mount done a replica was agreed on but then tape could not be found to measure girth so fish was released. It was a great memory with family that will be remembered forever.
